Soudotec 275 Galvanized Steel Welding Electrodes
A high-recovery (160%) and high-strength electrode designed for welding high alloy steels, galvanized steels, and all types of unknown steels. Ideal for dissimilar assemblies and as a cushion before hard-facing high alloy steels.
Characteristics
- Suitable for Galvanized Steels: Recommended for welding galvanized steels.
- Exceptional Mechanical Properties: High tensile and yield strength with excellent elongation.
- Excellent Weldability: Provides a high deposit rate and easy weldability.
- Machinable, Crack-Free Deposits: Ensures smooth, machinable surfaces without cracking.
- Corrosion, Heat, and Oxidation Resistance: Withstands harsh environments.
- Impact and Wear Resistance: Durable and resistant to mechanical wear and impacts.
Typical Applications
Ideal for maintenance and repair work on:
- Machine parts, tools, and dies
- Spring steels and galvanized steels
- Rebuilding of shafts and blades
- Dissimilar steel assemblies
Welding Procedure
- Surface Preparation: Remove any traces of oil, grease, and dirt.
- Damaged Metal Removal: Use Soudotec 212 SP or Soudotec G12 electrode to remove damaged metal.
- Welding Technique: Maintain a short arc during welding.
- Slag Removal: Clean slag between each welding pass.
- Preheating: For some high alloy steels, preheating is recommended.
